Day-by-Day Itinerary
Upon pick up from the hotel or airport, start your scenic drive to Masai Mara (approximately 5-6 hours), passing through the Great Rift Valley and beautiful landscapes. Arrive in Masai Mara and check-in to your lodge or camp. After freshening up, enjoy a relaxing lunch. Later in the afternoon you will head out for your first game drive in the reserve. This afternoon safari offers the chance to spot wildlife like lions, zebras, and giraffes, while the evening light provides perfect photographic opportunities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Today, your African dream about Masai Mara comes true! You will have breakfast at your lodge and then leave for a full-day game-viewing drive inside the park. You will have a picnic lunch along the Mara River and continue your game drive. Later, at around 16hrs, you will return to your camp.
Today, after breakfast, you’ll have a leisurely morning at the lodge, or head for an optional Masai village visit.
In the late morning, check out from the lodge and begin the 5-hour drive to Lake Nakuru. The journey passes through more scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. You’ll have a lunch break along the way before arriving in Nakuru in the afternoon. Once you check into your lodge, you can relax or take a short walk around the area.
After an early breakfast, head out for an extensive game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. This drive gives you a chance to see the park’s famous flamingos, rhinos, and other wildlife, such as giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. After the drive, return to your lodge for a light lunch and check out.
Next, begin the 1.5-hour drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving by lunchtime. Enjoy a relaxing meal at a lakeside lodge, with beautiful views of the lake.
In the afternoon, you have the option to take an optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha (extra cost), where you can see hippos, birds, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the lake.
On the final day of your safari, you’ll have breakfast at your lodge before heading to Hell’s Gate National Park, just a short distance from Lake Naivasha. Hell’s Gate is one of the few parks in Kenya where you can walk or bike among wildlife. Known for its striking landscapes, including volcanic craters, geothermal activity, and towering cliffs, Hell’s Gate offers a unique and active way to explore. You can take a guided walk through the park, visiting the Nakuru Gorge or enjoying the geothermal hot springs, or you can opt to rent a bike and cycle through the park’s scenic roads, all while encountering giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.
After your visit to Hell’s Gate, you'll have lunch in Naivasha before beginning the 1.5 to 2-hour drive back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel or the airport.
