Mt. Kilimambogo, also known as Ol Donyo Sabuk, offers a popular and moderate mountain hike located approximately 84km from Nairobi within Ol Donyo Sabuk National Park. This 13km trek typically takes 4-6 hours through dense forests, providing scenic views of the Fourteen Falls, Athi River, and occasionally Mount Kenya. The hike involves a 650m elevation gain, with options for either a steep, rocky footpath or a more gradual dirt road. Along the way, participants can expect to spot abundant birdlife, buffalos, bushbucks, and colobus monkeys. The highest point of the hike reaches 2,145m.
