Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Entebbe on a scenic 8 to 10-hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The landscape transforms from flat lowlands to rolling hills and lush green highlands, passing through picturesque tea plantations and rural villages. A stopover in Mbarara allows for lunch before continuing to Bwindi. Upon arrival in the late afternoon or early evening, check into your lodge. An optional flight to Kihihi airstrip from Entebbe is available, followed by a 1.5-2 hour drive to Bwindi.

Today is the highlight: tracking endangered mountain gorillas. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a 7:00 AM briefing from expert rangers. The trek through the dense rainforest can take 2 to 6 hours. Once found, you will have a magical one hour observing and photographing these gentle giants. After the trek, you may unwind at the lodge or take part in an optional cultural experience, such as a guided village walk, a visit to a traditional medicine man, or interaction with the Batwa community.

After an early breakfast, begin the 8 to 10-hour drive back to Entebbe. Enjoy stunning views of the countryside, passing through rolling hills, tea plantations, and vibrant local towns. A lunch stop in Mbarara offers a chance to relax before continuing the trip. Expect to arrive in Entebbe by early evening, marking the end of an unforgettable gorilla trekking safari.
